The Board of Directors approved changes to the first semester of our district calendar. These changes include an early dismissal on October 23rd and December 11th. Early dismissals will be at 10:45 a.m. for the middle and high schools and 11:45 a.m. for the Elementary Center. Students will be required to complete an on-line or paper assignment on October 23rd and December 11th during the afternoon in order to meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education attendance requirements; however, they will not be required to live-stream.
On November 5th, virtual parent conferences will be held in the morning; the afternoon is for teacher planning. Virtual parent conferences will end by 11:00 a.m. for the middle and high schools and 11:30 a.m. for the Elementary Center. There will be no students on campus on November 5th and no students or staff on campus on November 6th.
The Erie County Technical School students will attend ECTS classes on 10/23, 11/5, 11/6, and 12/11.
This is also a reminder that live-stream students and high school A/B live-stream students are required to follow the district guidelines for live-streaming as outlined and signed by students and parents.
Parents, please make sure you are monitoring student grades in our Sapphire system. If you need help accessing Sapphire, please contact your child's school as November 2nd is the end of the first marking period.
Finally, we have many resources available if your child is stressed during COVID times. Please reach out to the administration, school nurse, guidance counselors, or a trusted adult if you notice your child is experiencing stress or anxiety. You also have access to our confidential school safety portal. If you have any questions, please contact your building administrator.
