The North East School District has been advised of a situation in the community by the local police department and we have placed our district under a soft lockdown. At this time, our building offices will not permit anyone inside or outside of the buildings. Student school bus transportation will also be delayed.
Update as of 2:30 PM: The district is still on a soft lockdown. Our Middle School and High School will still be dismissing by parent pickup only. This is a reminder to please be patient as this will be a controlled parent pickup.
Update as of 3:20 PM: To All North East Families:
The North East School District has been advised by local police to remain in a soft lockdown at this time due to an incident in the community.
Student dismissal will be by parent pickup only. No students will be permitted to walk home or to drive themselves.
There will be No Bus Transportation this afternoon. All Parents are requested to report to the school doors to pick up their student(s). No student will be dismissed without being picked up by an authorized adult.
Elementary families should please wait until at least 3:45 p.m. prior to arriving on campus.
